What will the day involve?

• An interactive exploration of the Viking timeline in Britain from 789 CE to 1066 CE

• A look at everyday Viking life including clothing, names, marriage, roles and responsibilities.

• Viking crime and punishment including ordeals and the 'holmgang'.

• Viking weaponry and armour including swords, axes, spears, shields and armour.

• Finish the day by learning an ancient Norse song.

Have the opportunity to spend the whole school day exploring the fascinating Vikings. We aim to arrive by 8.30am, ready to start the day at 9am. The sessions can be flexible to fit in with your school day with an aim to finish by 3pm.
